The vintage wedding dress.
I'm supposed to be at the gym right now. A quick let-me-check-my-email turned into a little stop over at Once Wed and I saw this amazing vintage wedding dress for sale. (No, I have no clue why I still check that session)

Buy it here

Hello again...
I blame everything on the cold weather...It's only January and I already am so sick of the winter. It's been in the 20s for the past many days, so cold that if it ever gets to 35 degree, I feel warm! I have not yet gotten my act together to unload some of my daily outfit pictures...will do it tonight I promise!! In the mean time, here are some pictures from my wedding. All decorations were done by my very talented family! Yes, I'm very lucky!

Ring ring!
No, I wasn't looking for a new ring. But if I were, one of these babies would be mine!

Monday!
It rained dogs and cats on Saturday so it's nice to have some sun back to start a week today. On a different note, I was walking on a busy street and I noticed at least one out of four girls were wearing Hunter boots, including myself =). I wish that I had had my camera with me and just line them up for a cool picture. That would require asking people for permission and I don't have the courage to do that yet.
Speaking of gorgeous light, these two photographers always score the best one. I would have swine flu for a couple of days for it. ( I was gonna say that I would die...but not really, swine flu seems fair.)

Craziness at work this week ruins all my plans to post this week. However, I did try to submit a little Couture de Jour to Lillyella and it got featured today!

Little White Dresser.
My obsession with hair accessories tells me that I should add another piece to my unworn collection...But you can't blame me for wanting one of these beauties, you know you want them too.

This really cute belt would instantly update any dress or add some sparkles to your wedding dress.

All from Little White Dresser found via Something Old, Something New
(Wedding registry @ Etsy never sounds better, but then all we (I) are getting will be hair accessories and dresses)

Cinematography
I won't have a cinematographer at my wedding. I wish I would. I'm not sure what the difference between a Canon 7D and 5D, however, I don't really care. It's the story of this bride and groom that I will remember.

Bolero done perfectly!
I don't have much to say except that this bride looks amazing in her red bolero. She also has a lovely blog that I think I will read through to find where she got it from. I know a couple of Esty sellers that make the same style. Let's see if I get it right. =)
*FOUND IT!, I was right, just get comfirmation from another of my favorite blogs, Vintage Glam Wedding. Long story short, I found Sarah Neal site via Steep Street by Kelty. Then I went to visit Vintage Glam Wedding. , there it was, the answer to my doubt!
Bolero from Etsy Bonzie's shop. I think the seller should seriously consider asking to use this picture instead.
**CORRECTION**: Cori, the lovely bride stopped by and let me know that the bolero is actually from this Etsy seller for half the price instead: maryandangelika. Thank Cori!!

Inspiration Board with my wedding's actual venue.
There is one thing in my wedding that I'm SUPER excited about besides marrying my fiance: the Venue. Let's just say that I luck out and have a great venue without paying an arm and leg for it. I'm proud to have some talented relatives in the family, sadly I'm not part of that cool group.
The restaurant was designed by my uncle, who is also the architect and construction engineer for all of our homes in Vietnam. My aunt decorated it with random things she found by, sometimes, wandering into strangers' houses during her trips to the villages. It was my first choice of venue and it's an honor for me to be able to have my wedding there.
I'm not decisive at all when I needed to pick a theme. I don't know what I want: classic, elegant, modern or rustic. I know that I need a theme that works with all the venue's decorations as it would be a shame if we can't incorporate them. You will see that modern decoration doesn't quite fit. Contemporary is also not working. That leaves me, or so I think, rustic and vintage. Another detail that is also very important: everything has to be doable and practical in Vietnam. I'll go into Vietnamese wedding culture in the future.
Well, this board is dedicated to my cousin, who is my wedding planner. Luckily, I'm her third brides. I hope that she will do all her trial and error with the first two so my wedding can be perfect. I'm just kidding!!! I don't pay her anything so I can't really complain that she hasn't started working on anything yet.

Happy Pink Monday!
Waking up Monday to go to work is hard.
I love looking at catalog, especially J.Crew. I read it like most people read a book, cover to cover, memorizing things that I love and wish that they would go on sale soon.
I don't think that I would ever be able to pull the sock-with-heels trend. I secretly love it though.

Then I saw this photo from Green Wedding Shoes

I only can wish that I knew this bride personally. Visit Angela Anderson Studio's blog for many more gorgeous wedding pictures.

Inspiration Board - White
White is NOT my favorite color. When I was younger, the only time I would wear it was for my uniform at school, white shirt and navy skirt. Due to my clumsiness, a white shirt or dress could end up having stains all over it by the end of the day. And I don't think white does a whole lot to my skin tone either. With that said, I stay away from white as much as I could.
However, I'm loving this inspiration board that I did a while ago with white pieces.

Veil Edit!
So...about 2 hours ago, I was still in love with birdcage veil. But after seeing these images, every thing has changed. How pretty is this bride? This has to be my absolutely most favorite wedding short hairdo, EVER! Simple, gorgeous..and most importantly, this is the elegant version of the bride's daily hair style. My experience tells me that, for your wedding day, if you don't normally have your hair up and don't feel comfortable doing so, DON'T DO IT! I have to learn it the hard way...I know... after reading this tip over and over, I decided to curl my hair for my bridal shoot. Well, I wasn't comfortable and unfortunately, it shows in my pictures =(. Hopefully I will get it right for my big day.
This is the beautiful bride at her rehearsal dinner. (I also love her green blouse)

This...my friends, is what I call PERFECT!

Veil
I love headbands, hats and anything that goes on your head. However, I can't wear them. It's very hard for me to buy hair accessories that suits my face. Trust me, it's not just me. Everyone who has seen me in a hat would agree. After months of searching, I'm still looking for the perfect hair flower and veil for my big day and I think I'm slowly giving up. I bought a couple of things but nothing makes me go Wow yet.
I saw the movie Sweet Home Alabama yesterday for the nth time (not really). I don't know how that happened...but I never noticed Reese Witherspoon's birdcage veil before! I'm sure I saw it, but it didn't ring a bell when I was searching left and right for a veil. I'm in love with it. So pretty and elegant!

I apologize for not knowing the credit for this picture. I was searching in Google but couldn't find a clear image so I ended up going through pages randomly and closed the page by mistake when I found it!
I bought a birdcage veil that I think I can tear a part and reconstruct it to my liking. Yay, another "DIY" project! I will definitely post pictures when I'm done.
P.S.: I'm happy to announce that I completed my first sewing class yesterday. Awesome instructor and I can't wait to practice!
P.S.S.: I'm having a hard time leaving comments for other bloggers at work (shhh). I can type in my comment but when I click on leave comment, it doesn't work. Anyone knows why that happens?

Picture frames
I love to display picture frames. They are everywhere in my apartment as well as in my little cubicle at work.

So, when it's time to find inspiration for my wedding, I'm immediately drawn to these pictures and I really hope that I can do something like this at my wedding.
